WHY YOUTH PERSONAL
Personal development is an ongoing process of self-improvement. It begins before we can even remember and continues throughout our lives. It is about acquiring self-knowledge, setting goals for ourselves and putting plans in place to achieve those goals. It is an opportunity to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses and to work with them. We live our best lives when we have a clear sense of what we want from life and recognize that there is always room for development.

YOUTH COACH
Michy Morillo is serving as a conduit to the mindset, skills, and tools that nurture personal growth for our younger generation. As a former juvenile delinquent who was expelled from high school, Coach Michy wrote the book she needed as a teenager. Her interactive book, Cell Dreamer, provides a framework for reflection and transformation—offering the blueprint to help youth renew their mindset, begin looking inward, and work to become the best version of themselves.

Our mission is for 1 million youth to carry personal freedom in their book bag. Each young person you sponsor will receive a copy of Cell Dreamer, a bookmark, a pen to help them track their progress, and an inspirational wristband to remind them to keep going.
Sponsored youth in the community will also be invited to join our Community phone line to receive weekly text messages to keep them motivated as they engage in self-exploration.

Over 5 million young people had diagnosed anxiety and over 2 million young people had diagnosed depression in 2016-2019. This school year over 15 million young people are attending public high schools across the United States.
900,000 of them will drop out, and on any given day over 35,000 youth are held in residential placement facilities.
